A Monday Afternoon Stroll in Chaoyang District

Eventually 600 or so square feet of living space can get confining after a while; especially when you've got your Spouse and her parents goin' on non-stop; hey, just keepin' it real...

...and now I'm reading the label of this Beer Xiang's Dad has got stocked here -- "Mons"‎ as its known -- and in typically Chinese fashion, it lists the alcohol content as (can't replicate the symbols exactly with my phone's keyboard) "equal to or greater than" 2.5%; further stoking my irritable mood.

So I had to get out; out of the Apartment; out and about; out on the street; and see what's happening in the "District"‎.

Ostensibly, I had a mission; a "quest" if you will; to find a replacement "Lightning to USB" charging‎ cable for Xiang's iPhone; which through normal wear and tear had gone on the fritz.

So I set off, knowing that in the People's Republic of Entrepreneurship there was likely a deal to be had!

Follow this chapter of the Blog, as I ‎tilt against the proverbial windmills of language barriers and xenophobia to acquire the elusive deal of the day!
